Music Therapy Sessions
Individual music therapy services: One on one sessions are available in 30 minute, 45 minute, or 60 minute increments. During the first few sessions, the therapist will conduct an initial assessment, identify areas of need with input from the client and/or caregivers, write appropriate goals, and implement the client-directed treatment plan to achieve specific goals and outcomes. Data is kept thoroughly throughout the entire therapy process in both individual and group sessions to track progress, make informed decisions as to when/how to adjust goals, and effectively communicate that progress.
Group music therapy services: Group sessions are also available in 30 minute, 45 minute, or 60 minute increments. With input from staff and/or caregivers at your facility, the therapist will conduct an initial assessment during the first couple of sessions to identify areas of need. Then appropriate goals will be written, followed by implementing a highly personalized treatment plan intended to best serve the needs of the entire group.
Music Lessons
Traditional or adaptive music lessons are also available in 30 minute, 45 minute, or 60 minute sessions. Beginner lessons are offered for the guitar and ukulele, and beginner to intermediate lessons are offered for the piano. Adaptive lessons are additionally offered to individuals who may need extra support due to physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.
